It’s 9:41pm on a Thursday night. I’m listening to music from soundtracks on some of my favorite blogs. And I’m doing something I have wanted to do for a while now, but just haven’t had the time. I am writing a new blog entry. Someone please please tell me where the time goes. Between the kiddos, the housework, the errands, the appointments, sometimes it just feels like a never ending cycle. I enjoy every single moment with my girls, but wow, some days it can really wear you out. Like today for example, when Emma decided she did not want to take her nap. Days like this scare me. Makes me wonder if she is just that much closer to cutting out her nap altogether. But she is not even 2. So there’s no way that’s going to happen soon. Right??????
Random musings of my life:
{emma Easter egg hunting in our backyard with our play group}
How cute is this garland????? They’re paint chips! I would normally say that I am so going to do this, but I’m really not. If I had more time, I would. BUt it will not happen. But it is so super easy and cute!
Why did I not know about this site???? It’s owned by the same people who own Anthropologie. ‘Nuff said.
Some of the stuff I want want want from this site…
Fern Branch Wreath. I’m obsessed with wreaths. They have so much history behind them, and can come to represent so many different things, all depending on which culture is using them.
Bee Eco Tote. Perfect accessory for the farmer’s market.
Natural Blueberry Wreath. Love it.
Nested Birds Table Runner. It has birds. I’m sold.
Cute DIY blog: Not Martha

Yay for tomorrow being Friday. I’m looking forward to finally doing some bluebonnet pics with my girls this weekend. Maybe getting some home organization done. But mainly just enjoying my family.
And on that note I leave you with “Toes”…

I had the honor of taking newborn pics for one of my friend’s babies. She is one of my oldest and dearest friends. This little guy is so adorable. Such a blessed family.

Dear Blogger,
My name is Elisa and I was invited to take pictures of a newborn this Sunday, What can you recommend ? all tips and hints are welcome, Thanks
Well, I would definitely try to use as much natural light as possible. Taking pictures in the morning or late afternoon are best, or if you’re inside, be near a window. I think it’s best to shoot in a client’s home and ask the client exactly what moments and shots they want to capture. The younger the baby the better, sleeping newborns are pretty easy to move around and place in position. And always get down on the level of the baby, and don’t forget to get close. Take pics of fingers, feet, nose, eyes. These are features that change so quickly, they are good memories to capture. You can also use a special blanket or a colorful sheet as a backdrop. Or use props, like placing the baby on a blanket in a basket. Dont rush anything and set aside a couple of hours for setting up, talking to your client, and trying different shots. Good luck!
